On Monday, 24th May, 2010, a workshop was held on “Job opportunity for artisan in the urban heritage projects”. The workshop was held on the margin of the ongoing 1st International Conference for Urban Heritage in the Islamic Countries. The workshop took place on Flowers Pathway next to King Abdulla Road, Riyadh. A number of artisans and specialists have participated in the workshop.
Workshop’s panelists include Eng. Sami Nawar the former general supervisor of Jeddah Historic Area and the present supervisor of tourism and culture department, Ibrahim Al Ghazawi member of the Jordanian Association for Handicraft and Folklore Industries, Eng. Saeed Al Qhatani director of the National Project for Handicraft Development at SCTA, Ibrahim Al Humdan Builders Supervisor in Al Qaseem province, Ahmed Al Washme Lecturer at College of Tourism and Antiquities, King Saud University, Eng. Al Qarni from SCTA, Fines Wasli, Saudi Models designer.
